Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic and multifaceted metabolic disease. Considered a significant public health issue and global epidemic, rates of T2DM have skyrocketed in recent decades in the United States and around the world. This training will examine the impact T2DM has on college students and its implications for mood, behavior, cognition, learning, and physical health. General tips, strategies, and self-care approaches found in the peer-reviewed literature will be discussed during this training. Empirically based research findings will be highlighted throughout this training.
