Different Types Of Coffee Beans

There are two main varieties of coffee beans that are commercially grown throughout the world: Coffee Arabica and Coffee Robusta that differ in their environments of growth, overall flavor, and cost. It's important to comprehend the differences between these kinds of beans before you choose the right coffee, as their taste can vary significantly.

Arabica

When roasted, Arabica beans provide a smooth, but sweet flavor with low acidity levels. These kinds of coffee beans needs a cool, subtropical climate with lots of sun, rich soil, and moisture are present, as an area at a high elevation. Arabica beans are difficult to grow and cultivate. They also have a higher production cost.

Robusta

Since it has a bitter, strong and harsh flavor when it is roast Robusta coffee is considered a less superior alternative to Arabica. Because Robusta beans are twice the amount of caffeine as Arabica which makes them more resistant to pests and diseases. Robusta beans are also resistant to extreme conditions and can be grown at lower elevations. This makes them cheaper to grow and also to sell.
