Community councils across British Columbia are actively working to build inclusive and accessible environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. By bringing together self-advocates, families, service providers, and community partners, these councils ensure that diverse voices are heard, particularly in shaping CLBC's strategic plans. This year, community councils engaged over 1,100 participants and initiated impactful projects such as improving accessibility, promoting inclusive housing, and celebrating Community Inclusion Month. Through meaningful events and collaborations, they foster a sense of connection and belonging in their communities.
